aUSD Minting (Deposit)
Supported Assets
Users can mint aUSD with one click by depositing the following assets:
USDT
USDC
USD1
BTC (as WBTC)
ETH (as WETH)
SUI
Minting Principle
When a user deposits supported assets, the system records the token quantity and the USD value at the moment of deposit.
Value is fixed at the time of deposit and unaffected by future price changes.
For non-stablecoin assets (such as wBTC, wETH, SUI), the protocol automatically hedges the exposure, ensuring the system does not suffer losses due to price volatility.
Example
When the market price of SUI is 100 USD per token, a user deposits 100 SUI.
The recorded deposit value is 10,000 USD, and the user receives 10,000 aUSD.
Later, when the user redeems, regardless of whether SUI has risen or fallen, the redemption will be based on the initial locked value.
For instance:
If SUI rises to 200 USD per token, the user will redeem approximately 50 SUI (minus redemption fees).
Thus, the user’s redemption value remains equivalent to the original deposit (10,000 USD).
This mechanism ensures aUSD stability while insulating the system from asset price fluctuations.
